Exciting news as this year’s tour will showcase 10 brand new vineyards that have never participated in this eagerly awaited yearly occasion before.
Enthusiasts of fine wines in Florida, Chicago, and Las Vegas are in for an unforgettable night filled with exceptional wines. The Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour 2023 offers attendees the chance to taste and relish remarkable wines, explore new favorites, and mingle with the top winemakers in the field.
This delectable tour across three cities during April includes stops in Florida on the 15th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood, April 22nd at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, and the 29th at Resorts World Las Vegas—it promises to be a remarkable experience. Apart from the fact that all the reds, whites, rosés, sparklings, and dessert wines rated 90 points or above by Wine Spectator’s experts are showcased at the event, participants can also meet the winemakers in person, relish a fine selection of food, and take home a Riedel wine glass as a memento—all provided with each ticket purchase. Opt for VIP access to enjoy early entry, gaining an extra hour to savor before the doors open for General Admission.
Looking forward to experiencing Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour when it comes to The Sunshine State, I reached out to a event representative to get more insights on what to expect.
MK: What’s fresh and thrilling at this year’s gathering?
WSGT: Two key aspects set Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour apart from other tasting events: exceptional quality and diversity. At Wine Spectator, we value the enjoyment of wine as much as the learning experience, and this tasting event provides ample opportunities for both. We are excited to introduce 10 brand new vineyards that are making their debut at the Grand Tour in Florida this year. Our goal is always to blend well-known classics with innovative and captivating wineries for our guests to explore.
MK: Is there anything distinct about the Hollywood, Florida event that sets it apart from the other Grand Tour locations?
WSGT: In addition to the Grand Tour affair, guests can fully enjoy all that the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has to offer—an expanded casino floor, a new 13.5-acre pool lagoon, six upscale dining establishments, which includes two Wine Spectator Restaurant Award-winning venues, Council Oak Steakhouse and Kuro, and much more.
MK: Can you provide some insights about the planned feast?
WSGT: Details about this year’s menu will be unveiled soon, but typically, our events feature fresh pasta dishes, gourmet sandwiches, delectable carving stations, artisanal cheeses, and, of course, delightful desserts!
MK: Why is Seminole Hard Rock the perfect spot for the South Florida festivities?
WSGT: Wine Spectator chose Seminole Hard Rock given the successful hosting of their Big Smoke events at the venue since 2019. The property will also host Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest on Saturday, March 4 — a testament to the strong relationship with Cigar Aficionado and Whisky Advocate, sister publications to Wine Spectator.
Supporting a cause, a portion of the event’s proceeds contribute to the Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation, which offers grants and scholarships for various wine-related and culinary programs. Thanks to the generosity of vintners and wine enthusiasts worldwide, over $30 million has been raised to date. You’ll certainly feel grateful for sharing your love of wine in such a meaningful way.
