What Makes It Unique
The Escalade features a handcrafted 6.2L V-8 engine that is both intercooled and supercharged, producing a powerful 682 horsepower and achieving 0 to 60 in just 4.3 seconds. The exceptional power housed within the vehicle was immediately noticeable. Impressively nimble, the SUV is incredibly easy to maneuver.
Included in the standard offerings from Cadillac are automatic park assist, dynamic lane control, parking sensors, a surround view camera system, as well as front and rear automated emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. The Touring package adds deluxe features such as softly closing doors, air suspension, and illuminated door sill guards, in addition to the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving feature.
An Inside Look
Surrounded by lavishness inside the expansive cabin, passengers are embraced by Palermo quilted leather, exquisite wood accents, and metallic embellishments. Navigating through the extensive infotainment 16.9-inch display, 14.2-inch digital driver display, and 7.2-inch control panel is effortless. For convenience, a refrigerator placed between the driver and front passenger seats proves useful for storing drinks. Amenities like the heated steering wheel and front seats which are heated, ventilated, and power adjustable enhanced our travel experience. The highlight was the various massage settings that ensured comfort throughout the entire journey. Additional interior luxuries consist of ambient lighting with 26 options, triple-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, a panoramic UltraView sunroof, five USB ports, and a 36-speaker audio system.
Externally, the Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum exudes sophistication with its striking grille, 22-inch chrome alloy wheels, aero grille shutters, LED tail lights reminiscent of the Eldorado, convenient capless fueling system, and a hands-free tailgate. We were particularly impressed by the remote start feature and the illuminated Cadillac logos that appeared on the ground at night.
The Escalade spans 211.9 inches in length, 81.1 inches in width, and 76.7 inches in height. Initially hesitant about utilizing the Super Cruise driver assist function, we quickly grew accustomed to the pleasure of a hands-free driving experience. The remarkable Super Cruise by Cadillac facilitated a four-hour segment of our journey and is functional on over 130,000 miles of U.S. roads.
The 2024 Platinum Escalade from Cadillac offered a lavishly luxurious trip to and from Vegas. It is unfathomable to consider embarking on another road trip with a different vehicle.
