Tom Daley, the Olympic gold medalist, is embarking on an exciting new venture—this time focusing on the art of knitting. In partnership with Woolmark, he is fully embracing this passion that garnered significant attention during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics when he was seen crafting by the pool.
Now, he is elevating his commitment as Woolmark’s newest ambassador, championing the versatility and sustainability of Merino wool.

As part of this collaboration, Daley will introduce his range of Woolmark-certified knitting kits under the brand Made With Love, launching in 2025. These kits will feature premium Merino yarns along with exclusive patterns.
Daley expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Knitting has formed such a huge part of my everyday life; it is what grounds me, keeps me mindful, and slows me down.” The 30-year-old further remarked, “Knitting with wool is the epitome of that; the soft texture and amazing natural properties allow it to temperature regulate, making it the perfect fiber for quality garments and homewares designed to last generations.”
This initiative goes beyond just fashion; it highlights the mental health benefits associated with knitting. Research shows that engaging in this craft can lead to improved mental well-being, including lowered heart rates and heightened overall health. Through this partnership, Woolmark and Daley aim to not only promote sustainable fashion but also advocate for knitting as a practice that fosters wellness and mindfulness.
