The distillery, located on an 18,000-square-foot former lumber yard site, has witnessed the restoration of the land and surrounding soil. The facility generates 105% of its electricity from a combination of solar energy sources on-site and off-site, transforming Aspen Vodka Distillery into a contributor to one of the cleanest energy grids in America, producing more sustainable energy than it consumes. The on-site wastewater treatment, which is energy-neutral, produces zero carbon emissions and improves water quality, with all wastewater from the distillation process treated before being reintroduced into the Roaring Fork River. Fully operational now, the distillery has achieved a +26% reduction in embodied carbon through a comprehensive assessment of its entire lifecycle.
