At the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, Tankoa Yacht’s unveiled its 4th 50-meter hull, M/Y Kinda, an all-aluminium series crafted by Francesco Paszkowski.
Having a similar essence to its predecessors, boasting the same sleek and elegant profile; what distinguishes her is the 5,000-litre capacity swimming pool on the foredeck; M/Y Kinda is the second yacht equipped with a hybrid propulsion system.
‘Kinda is the outcome of a collaborative effort between the shipyard, the owner and our design studio – a yacht truly constructed collectively step by step,’ expresses Francesco Paszkowski. ‘The exteriors have been personalized while upholding the primary design elements of the 50-metre series such as the upright bow, boosting the internal volume to 496GT, the spacious swim platform at the stern, and expansive windows that create a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.’
An exceptional feature that we admire is the grand main staircase with wooden steps supported by a central pillar of gleaming stainless steel and a railing. On the lower deck, one can find the beach club, as well as the side-loading tender garage positioned at the stern, and crew quarters and amenities situated forward alongside the professional-grade galley and crew mess.
For relaxation, the open-air zones showcase a sizeable sofa grouping from Minotti on the main deck aft of the forward lounge area and swimming pool, dining setup for a full guest capacity on the upper deck aft, while the sundeck is furnished with a sun pad at the front, an outdoor galley, collapsible tables and sun loungers perfect for indulging in a day of leisure and unwinding.
Similar to its stunning exteriors, the interiors of the M/Y Kinda display a blend of contemporary and natural elements, truly reflecting the owner’s preferences and style. The cohesive mix of a range of finishes, utilizing brushed oak for the flooring and light-toned lacquered ceilings, the harmonious color combination of textured fabrics enriched with select furnishings elevates the interior ambiance.
The luxurious yacht accommodates six spacious guest cabins on the lower deck, featuring a full-beam VIP suite and a master stateroom at the front of the main deck. The guest cabins sport dark brown leather headboards, while the owner’s suite and VIP cabin are adorned with a soft nabuk material for their headboards. The walls are adorned with leather panels in varying tones of grey with accentuated joints. The mirrors exhibit smoked and Havana hues that seamlessly blend with the rest of the interior decor.
M/Y Kinda runs on Bintador’s hybrid propulsion, developed in collaboration with MAN and Siemens. The propulsion offers three cruising modes: diesel-mechanical, diesel-electric, and fully electric. The yacht operates virtually silently in zero-emission or battery mode and diesel-electric mode. The yacht can also anchor without any noise or emissions from the generators.
The engine is engineered to reduce fuel consumption and prolong the maintenance intervals of the machinery, particularly the generators, when sailing in the most suitable mode. The environmentally friendly hybrid propulsion allows owners access to protected areas that other yachts may not reach. ‘M/Y Kinda was a tremendous hit during the MY S 22,’ notes Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa’s Sales Manager. ‘The spacious interiors, exceptional interior design, the stunning bow pool with hybrid propulsion make it the ideal yacht for creating unforgettable moments while cruising with family and friends, just as the Owner did! Customer satisfaction tops our priority list and KINDA has surpassed our expectations.
Paszkowski’s striking exterior design, combined with Tankoa’s superior construction quality and the availability of hybrid propulsion as an option, form an extraordinary blend that was a significant factor in the Owner’s decision, and we have no doubts about it either!
