    ‘On’, a Swiss label for athletic wear, expands its retail footprint to Miami’s Design District

    A new store from the well-known Swiss athletic brand, ‘On’, will soon be launched in Miami, marking its fifth location in the U.S. Spanning across 3,229 square feet and situated in Miami’s upscale designer precinct, the store will exhibit the latest advancements in performance apparel and footwear by ‘On’. The store’s design integrates subtle aspects that mirror Miami’s tropical outdoor features and rich cultural heritage.

    Martin Hoffmann, Co-CEO and CFO at ‘On’, remarked, “Miami embodies the fusion of performance and design unlike anywhere else in the world, and this fusion lies at the core of ‘On’s DNA. Our new store will enable us to establish more personal connections with our athletes and fans in this city, elevating their interaction with our footwear and apparel.”.

    The store’s design is inspired by the local surroundings of Miami, merging the raw elements of nature with advanced technology. The warm and natural essence of Miami Beach is evoked through the earthy color scheme and sand-grain infused cement panels.

    At the heart of On Miami is the Magic Wall, an immersive structure towering at over eight feet, providing customers with an instant opportunity to try on the latest ‘On’ footwear. Its concealed drawers come filled with a complete range of shoe sizes, eliminating wait times and enabling more interactive experiences with ‘On’s expert store advisors.

    On Miami also showcases the brand’s alpine boulder, a 3D-scanned replica of an actual boulder from the Swiss Alps. For the Miami location, ‘On’ collaborated with artist Lucas Muñoz Muñoz to design the boulder, incorporating hand-hammered metal contours treated with automobile chromaflair paint inspired by Miami’s art deco and car culture. As viewers move around it, the boulder seemingly changes colors, offering a dynamic and interactive experience.

    On Miami will not only serve as a retail space, but also host Run Clubs every Wednesday, welcoming guest hosts to lead the group on popular running routes in the city.

    Established in 2010, On has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest-growing athletic wear brands globally. In Q2 2023, On achieved CHF 444.3 million in net sales (over $500 million USD), marking the company’s highest to date and a 52 percent year-over-year growth globally. On Miami adds to the brand’s expanding portfolio of 27 stores worldwide.
