Grand Opening of The Miller House at Frank Family Vineyards in Napa

Situated at 1091 Larkmead Lane in Napa Valley, Frank Family Vineyards has unveiled its much-awaited new entertainment venue, The Miller House. This exquisite addition pays tribute to the remarkable contributions of Founder Leslie Frank, formerly Leslie Miller, who envisioned a sophisticated and exclusive entertainment space for Frank Family visitors. The Miller House epitomizes Leslie’s distinctive and elegant taste by blending it with the rustic charm crafted by the renowned architect Howard J. Backen. It will serve as the backdrop for the winery’s most exclusive and luxurious experiences, where guests can savour Frank Family wines paired with dishes prepared by the renowned chef Christina Machamer.

“Leslie Frank, a former Emmy award-winning news journalist and a visionary of Frank Family, is known for her impeccable taste and hospitality,” stated Liam Gearity, the Director of Hospitality. “We were steadfast in naming this new venue after her, as she embodies these qualities.”

Located overlooking the Member’s Lawn, The Miller House stands behind Frank Family’s converted craftsman home, offering guests the opportunity to sample their vineyard-centric wines and savor carefully curated bites while taking in the picturesque views of the vineyards and mountains. Constructed using reclaimed sustainable wood, featuring high ceilings, and adorned with natural earthy tones that seamlessly blend with the outdoors, every element of the space was meticulously designed.

“My husband Rich and I exchanged vows at this location,” shared Leslie Frank. “This place holds great significance for me. I aimed to create a space that seamlessly integrates the natural beauty of our surroundings, allowing our guests to revel in the natural splendor of Calistoga.”

The design of The Miller House ensures guests can enjoy a harmonious indoor-outdoor experience on the Napa Valley floor throughout the year. With its 2,300 square feet area, the venue boasts floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, bespoke recycled ash wood tables, striking mirrors, elegant light fittings, and a welcoming lounge area furnished with cognac-colored leather sofas encircling a central fireplace. Each element was meticulously chosen, with input from the Napa-based interior designer Robin Beck from Hawkins Interiors, to combine a contemporary interior with an additional 1,100 square feet of sheltered outdoor seating for tastings and private events hosted by the winery, providing guests with a tranquil setting amidst the valley’s serene landscape.

Chef Machamer, a prominent figure in Napa Valley’s culinary scene and the winner of FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen season four, has meticulously crafted a seasonal farm-to-table dining experience for guests at The Miller House. Each food and wine pairing is handpicked to showcase how the scents, textures, and flavor profiles of Frank Family’s estate wines are enhanced by the culinary creations. Liam Gearity referred to the experience as a masterclass in food and wine pairings. Alongside their seasoned team of wine educators, Gearity will guide guests through the pairings, explaining why they complement each other and offering fundamental pairing tips that can be easily applied at home.

The rotating menu spotlights the finest seasonal ingredients, emphasizing locally sourced items such as homegrown Meyer lemons from Frank Family’s Winston Hill and mission figs harvested from the centurion trees at their Benjamin Vineyard estate in Rutherford. The tasting experience commences on a light note with Frank Family’s Blanc de Blancs accompanied by a homemade yeasted blini topped with caviar and crème fraîche, gradually transitioning into more umami-rich dishes as it progresses through their reds, including sliced Spanish Fuet paired with the Winston Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.

The culinary journey offered at The Miller House is perfect for intimate gatherings or individuals seeking to engage with like-minded food and wine enthusiasts. The Miller House Elevated Experience begins at $120 per guest and $60 for club members. The outdoor patio is also open for Estate tastings at $60 per person, with complimentary access for members.
