Even though we are fully aware that we will never have possession of one here at The Status Life, it is certainly beneficial to admire some of the most extravagant vintage cars on the market, and few come as sophisticated as this Ferrari 365 GTC that is currently offered by German automotive experts, Schaltkulisse.
Introduced in 1968 as a successor to the 330 GTC, the 365 GTC brought about an increase in the engine capacity and a 50/50 weight balance. Noteworthy as the very first Ferrari intended for road-use that featured an entirely independent suspension. The performance benchmarks were exceptional for its era: 0-100 kph in approximately 6.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 243 kph. Only a total of 168 units of the 365 GTC were manufactured, rendering it twice as scarce as a 250 Lusso and equally as rare as a 250 GT SWB. Hence, the interest in this particular model from Schaltkulisse is undeniable.
Crafted in March 1969, this Ferrari 365 GTC from Schaltkulisse was dispatched through Italcar s.p.a. in Torino, Italy, to its initial owner Rocco Jenna from Torino who acquired it for 7,100,000 Italian Lire. Currently, it maintains a look similar to the original exterior color and is now showcased in Argento with a Pelle Nera interior.
During the summer and autumn of 2022, this remarkable vehicle went through an extensive makeover conducted by Schaltkulisse’s Engineering department, incurring costs exceeding 35,000 Euros. Throughout the restoration process, multiple rubber bearings were substituted, the suspension including the front and rear stabilizer were revamped, the braking system underwent an overhaul, the carburetors were completely disassembled, cleaned, and fine-tuned, and a comprehensive servicing was performed. Consequently, it is being presented in a flawless condition.
Considering the exceptional rarity of the 365 GTC and its incredible aesthetics combined with a delightful driving experience, their prices can almost be perceived as affordable within the realm of vintage Ferrari cars. However, it goes without saying that a significant financial commitment is still required to secure this magnificent vehicle. Intrigued by what you see? Waste no time and head on over to Schaltkulisse to express your interest.
