Following the closure of Top of the Hub in 2020, the entire Boston community was eagerly awaiting the arrival of its successor.
A novel concept, View Boston, has now surfaced and acquired the top three levels of the Prudential Center.
Situated on the 50th, 51st, and 52nd floors, visitors can now relish awe-inspiring views of Boston and its surroundings. The 59,000-square-foot observatory provides both indoor and outdoor sweeping panoramas, in addition to two dining spots and an open-air rooftop deck.
The observatory also presents immersive experiential displays that exhibit the city’s renowned landmarks, offering visitors a chance to delve deeper into Boston’s essence.
Passes for View Boston are available for purchase on the main level of the Prudential Center. Guests are then ushered to an elevator that whisks them to the highest floor, evoking the sensation of rising through the clouds. At this point, Virtual Viewers deliver a 360-degree perspective of the city, encompassing Fenway Park, Logan Airport, Back Bay, South Boston, and more.
Should you choose to descend to the Cloud Terrace on the 51st floor, you will discover a complete bar offering innovative cocktails and appetizers. Moreover, there is a Big Picture Selfie opportunity allowing visitors to capture live images against stunning backdrops. The Cloud Terrace presents both indoor and outdoor seating alternatives.
On the 52nd floor, guests can explore Boston 365, another section featuring a beverage bar and a 50-foot wide projection-mapped 3D rendition of Boston. The Explore Boston display comprises 14 LED touch screens and an immersive theater known as Open Doors.
“We were privileged to have collaborated with these exceedingly skilled teams to animate the technology in the area,” expressed Justin Rink, general manager of View Boston. “Our goal is to offer our patrons not just a magnificent view but an immersive encounter to complement it.”
The observatory, alongside the Stratus cocktail lounge and The Beacon bistro, is accessible every day. Tickets and dining reservations can be made online.
