Fervent enthusiasts of tennis who chose to stay at the picturesque seaside Hacienda del Mar were delighted by the regular presence of some of the most acclaimed tennis stars globally during the Los Cabos Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2023.
A handful of the world’s top 30 players, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas hailing from Greece, showcased their skills at the Cabo Sports Complex from July 31 to August 5. Notable players like Russian athlete Karen Khachanov (Ranked No.11), British contender Cameron Norrie (Position No.13), Australian representative Alex de Minaur (Ranked No.16), and American competitor Tommie Paul (Ranked No.17) congregated with American tennis pro John Isner for the seventh installment of the ATP 250 in Los Cabos.
Established in 2016, the Mifel Tennis Open has seen previous champions like Diego Schwartzman, Cameron Norrie, Juan Martin del Potro, and Daniil Medvedev.
During the 2023 edition, around 30,000 fans indulged in various leisure activities throughout the day at the Hacienda Del Mar, a Marriott Los Cabos Autograph Collection Resort.
Serving as the hosting resort for the tournament, visitors relished breathtaking vistas of the Sea of Cortez, coupled with an array of serene and invigorating facilities, including five exquisite swimming pools. These pools encompass mosaic-adorned aquatic wonders with Venetian tiles, seaside infinity pools, as well as a grotto pool with a convenient swim-up bar.
Elite athletes and guests were also granted access to a well-stocked fitness center featuring state-of-the-art training amenities and an assortment of structured fitness sessions, ranging from yoga and stretching to Zumba, power walking, pool exercises, and beach volleyball.
As dusk falls, The Mifel Tennis Open reigns supreme as the premier tournament in its category across Latin America. The upcoming year will see the event take place in February, offering a cooler climate before the commencement of the Telcel Mexican Open presented by HSBC in Acapulco.
