The globally acclaimed venue that turns ice cream into an interactive and shareable adventure has made its comeback in Miami with a permanent site. The Museum of Ice Cream has set up its new location at Miami Worldcenter, the latest hub of culture in downtown. Spanning 14,000 square feet over two levels, every corner of the space is designed as a whimsical playground filled with vibrant treats, infused with a unique South Florida flair.
A retro-inspired ‘Cream Liner,’ reminiscent of luxurious airplanes from the 1960s, takes visitors on a delightful sensory experience, complete with a flight attendant serving scoops from an ice cream cart along the aisle. Miami-themed surprises are scattered throughout, including a sprinkle pool inspired by the Versace Mansion where guests can slide in and a hidden beach room decorated with pink palm trees situated within the Grand Hall of Freezers. Each feature, from the banana jungle to the carnival gaming zone with mini-golf and colorful piñatas, is thoughtfully designed to create a visually spectacular celebration of both the vibrant spirit of the Magic City and the pleasures of sweet treats.
As they navigate through the various pastel-colored areas, guests can indulge in unlimited ice cream. The Museum of Ice Cream Miami has teamed up with sensory experts from International Flavors and Fragrances to curate a multi-sensory tasting adventure highlighting tropical flavors from local favorites Azucar Ice Cream and the plant-based Cosmic Bliss, including their new coconut-based soft serve. For those attending during designated “adults only” times, cream-infused cocktails are also available.
“Living in Miami and having the chance to launch a Museum at the Faena Bazaar in 2018 was a dream for me and fundamentally changed how I approached designing the five other museums we’ve opened globally,” shared Maryellis Bunn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Museum of Ice Cream. “Now that this Museum is a permanent location, I could push the boundaries of design and interaction even further, crafting the creamiest, most colorful, and delightful museum to date. You will find sensory features that engage taste, touch, and smell throughout.”
With its captivating exhibits, striking visuals, and delicious offerings, the Museum of Ice Cream is an ideal spot for families, a sweet date night, or a fun gathering with friends. The venue promises a memorable experience that will enhance your Instagram feed. It is located at 851 NE 1st Avenue.
