Setting off on a deluxe 2024 Lexus TX 350 expedition to the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert, I relished the grandeur of the new SUV, its elegant design, advanced multimedia system, and state-of-the-art safety features during the relaxed two-hour trip from Los Angeles.
This year introduces the Lexus TX to the highways. Capturing the unique Lexus driving experience, the TX is meticulously shaped by experienced Lexus drivers. This automobile is exclusively manufactured in the U.S.A., at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Indiana. Every detail of this optional SUV model, whether as a six or seven-seater, was precisely conceived to offer the utmost comfort for a road journey.
Upon reaching the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa, professional valet and self-parking amenities are accessible in a covered parking facility to protect the vehicle from external factors. As I pulled up to the valet, the team members approached with amazement, admiring the sophistication of the ‘Lexus Texas’. It emerges as a splendid, authoritative vehicle, ensuring a delightful driving experience.
Safety Features
The 14-inch multimedia display screen keeps drivers informed throughout the trip. The robust radar and camera systems can detect potential frontal collisions, offer steering support, and implement automatic braking to prevent or mitigate the impact of a collision.
By activating the All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, drivers can encounter reduced driving pressure as the system continuously tracks visible lane markings and spots vehicles in front. This system not only provides steering aid but also identifies and notifies drivers of unintended lane departures at speeds exceeding 32 mph. This leading-edge system acts as a cautionary measure, aiding drivers in realigning their vehicle within the designated lane and even making minor adjustments to uphold a steady lane position.
The optional Head-Up display delivers drivers a digital projection of crucial information like speed, speed limits, and navigation guidance. The camera also captures specific road sign data, showcasing it on the instrument panel and Head-Up display.
As standard features, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are provided, alongside an in-dash navigation system and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
Drivers have the choice to opt for a Drive Connection trial or subscription to enable voice control for most in-car operations, such as adjusting cabin temperature, managing navigation, and controlling audio settings. This characteristic aims to lessen distractions by enabling drivers to concentrate on the road without diverting their focus to different car functions.
Exterior Design
The vehicle’s bold design, enhanced by a prominent front grille spindle, offers remarkable LED illumination for the driver and spectators. Drivers peering through their rearview mirror will witness a breathtaking sight trailing behind them.
The 2024 TX is available in seven exterior color options, including Cloudburst Gray, Wind Chill Pearl, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Nightfall Mica, Incognito, and Celestial Silver Metallic. Three interior color choices are Peppercorn, Birch, and Black.
The vehicle’s 22-inch wheels inject a dash of style and sophistication, boosting comfort on both paved roads and off-road excursions.
Distinguishing design elements encompass the rear signature LED Blade Tail lamp, ensuring that the Lexus TX leaves a lasting impact with its streamlined L-shaped light bar lamp.
Comfort Features
The power-adjustable plush suede semi-aniline leather front seats offer heating and cooling options, although the inclusion of a massage function could heighten the comfort level further.
The themed ambient lighting can be personalized to exhibit 14 distinct themes designed to elevate visual appeal and ambiance. Additionally, there are seven USB charging ports distributed across the cabin, easily accessible to all passengers, including the driver.
Interior Arrangement
Lexus engineers devoted significant time to crafting the seating configurations for passengers, including the third row. From hip angles to footrest positions, each detail was meticulously designed for all three rows. The front row, designated for the driver and one passenger, features temperature-controlled ventilated seats for enhanced comfort.
The second row provides Lexus families with an option for a two-captain-chair setup, ensuring separate seating, minimizing conflicts, and enhancing personal space. Charging ports are conveniently situated for each seat.
The Lexus TX offers 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, accommodating golf clubs, luggage, and shopping items. With the press of a button, the power-folding split third-row seat offers additional cargo space.
In addition to the retractable panoramic glass roof enjoyed by the driver, the second and third rows benefit from increased natural light penetration.
